Infection prevention and control strategies

(In-person support groups and other face-to-face activities - updated February 2023)

Recommended infection prevention and control strategies for NPSN face-to-face meetings and groups:

• Wash hands, using alcohol-based sanitizers
  
• Cover face during coughing and sneezing
  
• Avoid hand holding
  
• Wear masks if experiencing generic upper respiratory symptoms or having had exposure to a

known infected individual within past 7 days

• Stay home/away if symptomatic for COVID-19 and/or have a positive test (until symptom-free

for 5 days and fever free for 24 hours)
