Who can attend Peer Support Meetings?
Nurses Peer Support Meetings are for nurses recovering from Substance Use Disorder. Any individual who holds or has held a license as and LPN, RN, and all advanced practice roles (APRNs) are welcome. Meetings are held twice a month and there are 7 locations in Minnesota where meetings are conducted.

The Nurses Peer Support Network is designed to meet the needs of nurses in recovery throughout Minnesota. Currently there are seven sites for meeting statewide. We are working to increase that number to better meet the needs of all nurses. In order to establish a site two nurses must be willing to be oriented as and serve as conveners for the meeting. All conveners must have two years of sobriety (not necessarily consecutive years) to serve as a convener.
What does it cost to attend a peer support meeting?
There are no charges or fees for attending meetings. If there is a cost for using the facility a free will offering may be asked but that is totally voluntary.
Is participation anonymous?
Yes, participation is anonymous. No attendance is taken nor record of participants. Peer support meetings are about one thing and one thing only, nurses helping nurses in recovery.

- Committee service. NPSNetwork relies on volunteers to staff its committees (Education/Outreach, Fund Development, Peer Support).
- Be a meeting convener. NPSNetwork is seeking meeting conveners throughout the state. All conveners receive orientation and ongoing support. Conveners must be nurses who have two years of sobriety (not necessarily consecutive).
- Join our Board of Directors. NPSNetwork is governed by a board of up to 15 members. We seek individuals representing one or more of the following areas: nursing, nursing education, knowledge and expertise in Substance Use Disorder, finance, law and business. Board members serve 3-year terms and may serve up to 5 consecutive terms.
