Diane Poole
Private Practice Consultant
Diane Poole has been in the front row, and on the front lines, of recovery for more than 40 years. Diane is an innovator in integrated approaches to recovery that consider spirituality, service and clinical practice -- a holistic view that addresses all dimensions of the disease of addiction with a deliberate and disciplined methodology that can provide a clear path to recovery.
Diane's caring and commitment to recovery extends to every corner of The Retreat. Part of the inaugural staff at Upland Farms, Diane was Program Director at the Retreat for 20 years. A graduate of the Hazelden Counselor Training Program, Diane directed the Marty Mann Halfway House for women in Duluth and also worked the managed care side of recovery services for Metropolitan Clinic of Counseling, United Behavioral Systems and Allina Health. She has extensive training and certification in substance abuse and recovery: her studies have focused on addiction and co=occurring disorders, Post-Induction Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which embraces cognitive and behavioral therapy and mindfulness.
Diane retired from The Retreat in June 2018, and is now in private practice in Wayzata.
