Outreach/Education

Picture
Part of our mission is to provide education and outreach about substance use disorder in nursing to promote safety to the public. We partner with community, healthcare, and academic organizations across the state to raise awareness and educate individuals and groups about substance use disorders among nurses and the recovery support available through our organization.

There are a number of resources below if you would like to include content about Substance Abuse Disorders in nursing curriculum.

Resources for Nursing Curriculum
  • University of Minnesota - Substance Use Disorders Among Nurses Course

Speaker's Bureau
The NPSN Speaker’s Bureau provides speakers to present to nurses, healthcare providers, nursing students/faculty, and the public at large. Educational presentations can be customized to specific audiences, depending on your organization’s interests and needs.

NPSN does not charge a speaker’s fee but does gratefully accept donations to support the organization’s educational mission. Please allow up to two weeks for NPSN to process your request and schedule a speaker. Please fill out this form and someone from our organization will contact you.

Education and Outreach Committees
NPSN has an Education Committee and an Outreach Committee that oversee events and promotional materials.
