Kathi Koehn MA, RN is the Executive Director of the Minnesota Organization of Registered Nurses (MNORN). She has served on the Boards of Directors of the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She was the first chair of ANCC's Commission on Pathway to Excellence, a program that recognizes excellence in nursing departments. She is a past president of the Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA). In 2004, she was awarded a Bush Foundation's Leadership Fellowship, completing her Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies at Hamline University. Her thesis explored the 1966 mass resignation of American Registered Nurses, a strategy to achieve a national salary goal as a means to reduce a severe shortage of nurses.
